After Android 12L, Samsung started releasing the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for its large-screen devices. This major One UI version brings several new features and improvements but the Samsung tablets lack some features in the Android 13 like a two-column notification shade, an enhanced lock screen, and more.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 series has received One UI 5.0 based Android 13 update, this new update enhances the UI and features of these tablets to some extent. But some of the features that came in your smartphone with Google’s Android 12L are missing in Android 13.
As per the latest information (9to5Google), the latest Android version update does not bring the two-column notification shade and enhanced lock screen features for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8. If you’ve received the Android 13 update on your Galaxy tablet, you may notice these changes.
The Galaxy tablet on Samsung One UI 5.0 still uses the same old single-column notification shade as on the smartphone. When you open it, you can see time, date, 7 quick settings toggles, and a brightness slider. Also, you can see the notification feeds along with settings and a clear button.
Google’s Android 12L has introduced a two-column notification layout, with the first column containing quick settings toggles, a power menu, a settings icon, a brightness slider, and editing tools, and the second column containing the settings and list of notifications feeds.
